Dear friends of KumboKids and Community,
Hearty greetings from Cameroon and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. The spirit of Christmas is in you because you have prepared to welcome Jesus not only in your hearts but also by loving and serving others, especially the poor, the marginalized, the forgotten, the sick, the lonely, and the imprisoned, and by seeking to recognize the baby Jesus in all of them. You have shared, and are to share, your gifts with your family members and friends, and with some Kumbo Kids you do not even know. What a blessing you are to humanity!
By doing what you do, you have made your homes and lives centers of compassion, forgiveness, selfless love, kindness and generosity, tolerance, and by so doing, you embody the true spirit of Christmas. We further concretize this spirit when we add a smile and a handshake to our neighbors. You have allowed God to love others through you, through your acts of kindness, and you have made your homes places of love, happiness, peace, and unity, thus mirroring the life of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
